My name is Yomi. I am an artist and engineer who lives and works in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
For a while now, I've been trying to figure out how to document my journey and practice as an artist. While my website served as a portfolio and CV, it didn't show all the other aspects of my experience.
I decided to create a subsection called "The Backyard". I like to think of The Backyard as a journal of my art-related side quests and explorations. I will share insights, process, and timeline, amongst other things, about solo and collaborative projects I have worked on.
The tone of The Backyard is intended to be informal, allowing a more casual approach to discussions about my practice and providing a relatable perspective on my journey. The Backyard is like a tumblr account that's not on tumblr (iykyk).
